WARNING - IMPROPER USAGE OF THE FIRMWARE UPDATE
TOOLS CAN CAUSE TOTAL LOSS OF FUNCTIONALITY
REQUIRING YOU TO RETURN THE 1026 TO IVIE
FOR REPAIR.

BE CERTAIN THAT YOU ARE UPLOADING THE
PROPER HEX FILE TO THE PROPER SUB-UNIT.

3001-MIX FILES UPLOAD TO 1026 MIXER.

3006-DSP FILES UPLOAD TO 1026 DSP

CALL for Help BEFORE you crash and burn !!

---------------------------------------

1026 Firmware is loaded in two parts:

Part 1 is for the Mixer Section and MUST match the
type of EEPROM located in the front left corner of the PCB.
See U705.

Help - About will also announce what the current
firmware THINKS is the EEPROM Chip.

If the unit is working then this announcement is correct. However, it
is possible to load the wrong firmware and have an invalid
announcement. You can confirm the physical part number by looking at the PCB.

If Help - About says "NV Rev FM-A" then the board should have an FM25640 EEPROM
or if Help - About says "NV Rev A" then the board should have a 93C86 EEPROM

If U705 is a 93C86 then the proper firmware is
	1026_LDS 93C86 (3001 Mix) 2007-01-25.hex for LDS systems.
	1026_STD 93C86 (3001 Mix) 2007-01-25.hex for Standard systems.

If U705 is an FM25640 then the proper firmware is
	1026_LDS FM25640 (3001 Mix) 2007-01-25.hex for LDS systems.
	1026_STD FM25640 (3001 Mix) 2007-01-25.hex for Standard systems.

Part 2 is for the DSP Section and MUST match the
type ADC used on PCB AND the communcication speed
programmed into the Rabbit Ethernet Daughter Board.

Best is to use Help - About and MATCH the
PCB=xxxx from the following list

For Example if Help - About says
	"PCB=AK+HS" you should use the
		1026_DSP PCB_AK_HS (3006 DSP) 2007-06-06.hex file.

	"PCB=AK" you should use the
		1026_DSP PCB_AK (3006 DSP) 2007-06-06.hex file.

	"PCB=CS+HS" you should use the
		1026_DSP PCB_CS_HS (3006 DSP) 2005-03-21.hex file.

	"PCB=CS" you should use the
		1026_DSP PCB_CS_HS (3006 DSP) 2005-03-21.hex file.
